About the Role
As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transport of children to and from school.
- Assist children with boarding and exiting vehicles safely.
- Ensure children remain safe and secure during transport.
- Provide reassurance to children who may feel anxious or distressed.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, parents and school staff.
A compassionate, patient and friendly approach is essential to build trust and create a positive journey experience.
Requirements & Safeguarding
- No prior experience required – a caring and empathetic nature is essential.
- Applicants must be 18+ and have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check required (Disclosure and Barring Service).
- Professional and character references required.
- All candidates will undergo a safeguarding-focused interview process.
You must also meet all mandatory requirements set by the local authority and receive their ID badge before employment can be offered. Employment will only proceed once you have obtained local authority approval and an ID badge, and once we have identified a suitable route for you based on your experience, location and skills.
