PSV & PHV/HCV Driver Vacancy – home-to-school transport

Green Destinations is looking for enthusiastic and reliable drivers to join our team and
help transport Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) children to and from
school! Whether you're a Public Service Vehicle (PSV), Private Hire Vehicle (PHV),
Hackney Carriage Vehicle (HCV) driver, we have the perfect role for you.

PSV Drivers (D or D1 licence)

From £13/hour. Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week (term time only)
As a PSV Driver, you’ll transport children with SEND in a safe, comfortable, and
friendly environment. You’ll be the smiling face that greets them each day, ensuring
their journey to school and back is enjoyable and smooth. You’ll work closely with
school staff, parents, and passenger assistants; keeping everyone informed a
service users safe.

What we need from you:

  • A PSV licence (D or D1).
  • A professional, patient, and friendly attitude
  • Punctuality and reliability are a must!

PHV/HCV Drivers (Taxi Licenced)

If you have your own taxi vehicle and want to be part of something special, then the
PHV/HCV Driver role is for you! As a PHV/HCV Driver, you’ll pick-up and drop-off
SEND children in your own licensed taxi vehicle or the company’s. You’ll ensure their
safety and comfort, making their ride as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

What we need from you:

  • Your own taxi vehicle, if you have one or we can provide one for you.
  • A good proficiency in the English language.
  • A friendly and professional attitude towards children and parents.
  • Compliant DBS certificate and training before you’re offered a job.
  • Right to work in the UK.

You will be paid on satisfactory completion of tasks such as two school journeys or jobs per day
(inward (am) and outward (pm)). This will be a fixed pay per job If for any reason you are unable
to complete a journey, you will be able to contact a replacement eligible driver and pay your
substitute directly. Any journeys not completed to our satisfaction must be addressed by you at
your own cost and you will be allowed to work for other hirers.

Passenger Assistant Vacancy - Home-to-school-transport

Job type: Part time
Salary: £11.44 an hour
Expected hours: 07:30 – 9:00 and 14:30 – 16:00 (Monday – Friday term time)
Location: West Midlands

In this role, you will assist with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensure the safety of children during
transport, and offer support to those who may feel distressed or anxious. Clear communication with driver
parents, and school staff is essential to ensure a smooth journey for all involved. Above all,
compassionate, patient, and friendly approach is key to building trust with the children and
providing the best possible experience for them.

No prior experience is required, but a caring and empathetic nature is essential.

Applicants must be 18+ and have the legal right to work in the UK.

important role.
