If you have your own taxi vehicle and want to be part of something special, then the PHV/HCV Driver role is for you. As a PHV/HCV Driver, you’ll pick up and drop off SEND children in your own licensed taxi vehicle. You’ll ensure their safety and comfort, making their ride as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
What We Need From You
- Your own taxi vehicle.
- A good proficiency in the English language.
- A friendly and professional attitude towards children and parents.
- Compliant DBS certificate and training before you’re offered a contract of services in line with Local Authority badging requirements.
- Right to work in the UK in compliance with Local Authority badging requirements.
You will be paid on satisfactory completion of tasks including passenger pick-up and drop-offs. This will be a fixed pay per route. If for any reason you are unable to complete a service, you will be able to contract a replacement eligible driver and pay your substitute directly. Any services not completed to our satisfaction must be addressed by you at your own cost and you will be allowed to work for other hirers.

You must also meet all mandatory requirements set by the local authority and receive their ID badge before employment can be offered. Employment will only proceed once you have obtained local authority approval and an ID badge, and once we have identified a suitable route for you based on your experience, location and skills.
